On November 23-25, 2009 the training on carbon financing mechanisms for renewable energy projects was held in Astana within the framework of UNDP/GEF project «Kazakhstan – wind energy market development initiative».

Vladislav Arnaoudov, trainer, is an international consultant and specialist on projects of Clean Development Mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol. He has a successful work experience in realization of the projects in many countries of Asia, Latin America and the CIS.

Various mechanisms of carbon financing for renewable energy projects was presented during the training. Visitors had an opportunity to develop their own projects according to the presented methodic in wind energy, hydro energy markets.

Representatives of ministries and agencies, national enterprises, associations, research institutes, business, and international companies participated in the event.
